PHP Backend developer with data science ambitions

Wowflow is a work management & collaboration software that changes the way how facility management teams work. Over the last 12 months, we grew our team to 14 people, reached 1k+ monthly users, and received EUR 1m Seed financing from business angels. Now we are looking for a PHP Backend Developer with ambitions to develop towards data science to improve customer experience and decrease our customer’s workload with machine learning.

The position can be either remote or onsite, depending on which provides the best contribution.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Help improving our PHP/Laravel backend code and adopt our data structure and capturing
• Setting up the data flows from our Application (react, php, postgre) to the Machine Learning environment with our DevOps team
• Prototyping models using AWS SageMaker and implementing more sophisticated models and libraries in the future
• Ensuring the stability of our data collection and Machine Learning operations environment
• Research and develop frameworks, models and approaches to integrate Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence in our application

Requirements:

• Good knowledge on PHP/Laravel, SQL, Python, Docker and Gitlab
• Familiar with AWS and Machine Learning
• Basic understanding of ML-Ops
• Fluency in English; German is an advantage

You will be offered a gross salary of 40.000 and 50.000 EUR depending on your value added.
